Default Borla Question

Hey Guys,

I've been debating for a little while now, is Borla Exhaust right for me? I like the chrome tips and the way they look but sound wise is what worrys me. I want something a little louder than stock, but nothing like you can hear me a mile away type sound. Basically a little louder than stock, but if I need to be on the quiet side at times when I'm driving with clients or family...it can be close to stock quietness. But when I want that deep growl, all I have to do is get on it and there it is...is that the Borla? Thanks guys.

Default IMO yep.

But I would suggest trying to locate someone with a Borla in your area to hear for yourself. There are also a few video/sound clips on AWE's site. Good luck.

Default

quiet are APR and Milltek. Borla has a bit of a drone that I don't like.

Default Well I want a little

louder than stock. But nothing ricey, or something that you could hear me like from a mile away. Just quiet when I have to have it, and loud and throaty when I need it to be.

Default It's going to be hard getting both quiet and loud in the same exhaust

I just replaced my Borla w/ an APR. Swap was yesterday.

The Borla has a pronounced growl when you go to WOT, or near WOT, and a nice burble when decellerating. When you're at a steady cruise, the Borla is a little louder than stock, but not too bad.

The APR is barely louder than stock - no growl/burble that I've noticed so far.

I went to the APR because, in an Avant, the Borla is significantly louder than it would be in a sedan, and my wife really didn't like the growl.

Default Deep growl, yes...

It sounds great from inside of the car especially under WOT. It does get a lot quieter if you "ease" into the throttle.

I think the best thing that you can do is find someone local that has a Borla and aske them to give you a ride.

Default I don't know exactly, but I figure it should be minimal pressure

since the OEM hoses don't look suitable for a high pressure application, IMO.
