Bose CD player plays CDRW's

I get up. I throw an album into Easy CD Creator. I take a shower. I pop the CDRW out of the burner and pop it into the Bose and it plays, after 10 seconds of adjusting the laser. With almost 1000 albums worth of MP3's, this is a Very Good Thing (until I get my I-Opener/GPS mounted, which should be in less than a month).

...EZ CD Creator 4.0 has a feature where you can drop mp3's onto a disc layout, and it will decode them to CDDA for you. There is the new Aiwa (and probably others) head unit that does play MP3 ISO9660's and my I-Opener has a 6GB drive that will store them.
My point was that most cd players have lasers that can't figure out the low contrast on CDRW's. Sorry for the confusion.

Burned a Marillion CD last week on a CDRW, and I got the error message in my A4. I used EZ CD Creator, erased a CDRW (it was a back up disc) and then burned it like it was a CDR. Any ideas why it didn't work for me?

That is untrue. There are plenty of car, home, and portable CD players on the market that will play CD-RWs. Not all, but many new units. It is not just a computer supported feature any more. There are even non computer CD players that will play MP3 files... I can't wait until you see those in OEM stereos!
