Default Bouncing idle question

I recently replaced my turbo on my 1998.5 a4 and i have ran into a problem where any time the car comes close to idle it goes down till it almost dies then revs way back up, and then bounces around until it levels out. It does this every time it gets near idle. It only takes a few seconds to level out. It gave a misfire code once. I tried
changing the spark plugs and i cleaned the battery terminals because i read that bad connection can cause that sometimes. Its been about two weeks since the turbo was done and i did unhook the battery yesterday before this happened. Any help on what to try next would be appreciated

Default Cleaning MAF didn't help this for me even though it made the code go away.

Do a TBA after you disconnect the battery.

Default thanks for the advice i tried the tba and cleaning the MAF

Thanks for the advice i cant figure this one out i am guessing there is a vac leak somewhere that i cant find. I have tried about everything else i can think of. You don't think it could be a fuel problem do you. Is changing the fuel filter worth a try?

Default Doubt the idle would be an issue with a fuel filter. You'd run lean at cruise before it would affect

the idle. I'd look for vac leaks first ... get the car scanned for dtc's and look at long term fuel trims as well as MAF readings ....
