I have ben hearing a lot about BPV. I searche the archives but I still don't know about it.
What is it?
What does it do?
Where is it?
Why should I replace it with the one from a TT?
I know it has something to do with the turbo.
Thaks in advance for the help.

The bypass valve is located between the high pressure and low pressure (inlet) sides of the turbo. The valve diverts charged air back into the turbo inlet during closed throttle conditions. This keeps the turbo spooled (momentarily) off-throttle, therefore reducing lag between shifts. This also prevents damage to the turbo from having charged air forced back against it.
The bypass valve does not change or control the boost level of the turbo.

Bypass Valve Info from www.UrS4.com
