Default Brake issue

My '99 A4 1.8 is loud these days: when I brake, there is a squeaking sound. I also noticed a fair amount of brake dust... is this normal? What should I do, if anything?

Default Mintex Red Box brake pads. For a hundred bucks, you can improve your

brakes' performance, and virtually eliminate brake dust. Oh, and no squeal.

Not a paid advertisement!

Default mintex red box

dramatically reduced brake dust.

Only performance gain noticed is that it's less susceptible to fading when compared to stock pads uner hard driving condition.

Default EBC greenstuff or Mintex Red Box........

I have greens going on 20K not even half worn. Better bite than OEM and a lot less dust. You dont notice dust until about the third day after cleaning and its easier to clean when you do clean.

Default Mintex reds with zimmerman cross drilled..(more)

My brakes like your were having tremedous amounts of brake dust to the point i had to clean them almost daily (the wheels) and since my pads were running low i had a very bad queeling scraping sound at low speeds that was almost embarrasing.... well i decided to upgrade to Mintex Redbox since everyone talks about them and i also changed my rotors to Zimmerman Cross Drilled... first oh all, the brake dust is now non-exhistant..i mean almost none! its great! and the performace is better also..not dramatically better but i have a lot better brake feel and better response... i defiately recomend them... set of 4 pads and rotors $428 shipped from www.awe-tuning.com
