Brake lines! (Stainles Steel?)

I need to replace my two front brake lines and have some questions!
1. Is there really an advantage to stainless steel lines vs factory, is it worth the extra $$ with factory calipers?
2. Can I just replace the front and not the rear with stainless steel lines?
3. Are all stainless steel lines the same, cheapest stainless better than factory?
4. Where can I purchase, how much should I expect to pay?
5. Which brake fluid do you recommend!

pedal firmness and pedal modulation available to you, then by all means, get SS lines. Otherwise, the safest and most carefree option is the OEM replacement lines.

Switched to SS on old 911; noticed absolutely no change in braking. I feel improvement people notice is due to a complete fluid flush/bleed acoompanying the line installation.
Alos, they can fail at the most inopportune times. I've heard of several failing and personally witnesse one - all during heavy braking. These lines were never intended for street use for long time durations and while being exposed continuously to ambient conditions; they were designed for race cars that get a very careful workover after every race and maybe a complete rebuild every year or so. They also don't see salt/slush and very little rain.
I switched back to OE after I saw the one car break his SS line.
