Default Brake pads.....

So it's time for some new pads and I'm clueless as to what I should get. Any reccomendations for pads and places to buy them? I do some autox and will eventually do some track events so I'd like something that is good for that and street driving. I noticed when looking there there are two different types of wear sensors on A4's, how can I check to see what mine is without taking the wheel off etc?

Default Not sure about which pads you should get but...

I have the same car and my sensors are rectangular with rounded corners, not the round ones.

I just put Mintex Red box on and they are great but... they are made for street only. I heard that EBC makes good pads for racing and street.

Default I was just on AWE's site looking at those....

Look like a good deal. Wondering if it's worth it to do SS lines too.

Default Connectors

A4's don't come with round connectors.
You either have no connector, or the ones that are "D" shaped.

Default From everything I've read

If you're gonna track the car, put on track pads. When finished, put your street pads back on. Use the right tool for the right job.

For the street there's the Mintex Red, EBC Green, Hawk HPS, and some others. These seem to be the most popular around here. A search of the archives will turn up more info than you could read in a week.

Default I have a set of Mintex C-Tech for sale...

Brand new, never used. They are great for autox and driver school events. I ran mine as daily drivers, with schools at Tremblant, Lime Rock and Watkins Glen.

If you are interested, please let me know. They retail for $100. I'll sell for $89. Let me know if you are interested.
BTW, I have some brake pad comparisons at my website.. under the tech info section - click sig.
