Default Brake problems.

Been hearing this weird noise the past few days when braking so I decided to take a look see and just noticed that my front right brake pad slipped out of the caliper and is just wedged between the hub and caliper now. Uh oh. Looks like Im going to be doing brakes on this thing outside in the freezing cold. Are there any special tools needed to get the calipers off and change the pads? Also wondering if I should do all the pads or just the fronts? And can Zimmerman rotors be cut or do I need to buy new ones? TIA

Default I also heard bad noises from my R F brake. I've been searching both...

the Brakes Forum and the A4B5 forum using "brake rotors" and "brake pads" in the search.

Found a good write up - click on link

I see in your sig that you have "710N DV/N75J/Zimmerman Rotors/Mintex Pads" Did you have somebody do it for you? If you have never done brakes, you may want to have it done or have someone help/teach you.

In one post a person claimed that it may cost just as much to have your rotors cut as it would to replace them. Call a local brake/machine shop to find out. Do you know how many miles are on your rotors?

Brake Change Write up
