Default Brake squeal sound while moving and under braking...

Hey guys,

Need your help once again. I drive a 99 Audi A4 1.8T, and I just noticed today that I am getting a brake squeal noise from my car. The sounds seems to be coming from the rear passenger side wheel. The sound produces itself while i am moving and under braking. It sound sounds like when your brake pads are extremely low and its that metal to metal sound.

I just replaced all 4 rotors and pads with OEM about a month and a half ago.

What do you recommend?

I searched the forums an found simliar posts but no real remedy, and it should go away in time. Can anyone else elaborate further?

Default I had a slight brake squeel after my brake job

I just replaced my pads and rotors and noticed a very light squeal during braking, but only right before I come to a complete stop. I must be going something like .5 mile an hour for it to happen. What I did was I pressed my brake in and then pulled the parking brake all the way up (just past the point where it hits the arm rest).

This seemed to tighten everything up. It was probable from when I bled the brakes.

Default Did you clean off all the rust from the hub?

Another thing to check is make sure the retaining springs on the pads themselves are properly seated on the caliper.

Default Did you grease the slide pins or whatever they are called

mine were doing that before I changed the pads. Turned out the pins were seized.

Default same here, make sure you grease them good
