I am looking to do a brake upgrade. I am going to paint my calipers red and switch to Mintex Red. But is it worth the money to get new rotors and lines?
Will they increase my stopping power?

cross drilled, may look nice, but slotted preforms just as well, doesn't eat up those expensive pads, and under stressful conditions (autocross, road racing, etc) cross drilled tends to crack.

additionally, the slotted rotor would eliminate any wet braking issues without the cracking of cross drilled. Slotted and drilled are nice because they also act as wear indicators, but with Red Box, you wont wear the rotor much. Dont use Red Box on the track though, get something more aggressive for track use. As for SS lines, I noticed that when used with hi temp fluid and heavy use...they provide a better feeling even when fade is starting to creep in. I live in Chicagoland, we have no hills and rarely need strong brakes...mountain areas may benefit from SS lines because the fluid may be hotter sooner and for longer periods of time. SS lines cant be easily inspected for cracks and should be replaced every few years or sooner. ; /
