Default brakes

is it just me or does it feel the brakes on the a4s arent that great? For example, I was going 30 mph, and I stepped on the brakes when I saw the stop sign and the car didn't finally stopped in the middle of the intersection. Strange?

Was it wet out. The brakes are bad in the rain

Hmmm, mine are bad only in the rain. Just got my A8 brakes today! Hopefully they will be better.

Maybe you need to bleed your brakes; better brake fluid will help too

Default I actually prefer a longer pedal throw.

it makes it a lot easier to be smooth.

Default Nope, he's talking about the long pedal travel.

The integra brakes are firm from the very top of the pedal travel, so you don't need to push them much to brake.

The Audi brakes are very soft up top, but after you press down about halfway, then they start to bite.

When I sold my 5 year old Integra and bought me new A4, I noted the same thing. It was one of my major gripes about the A4, until I discovered the wet braking problem (at which point I forgot all about the softness in the brake pedal!).

Default i found it to be the opposite when I first started drving the car....

I thought it was hard to brake smoothly because they did very little at first then seeming to bite really hard at a certain point. But now I'm used to it and can't stand the brakes in any of the other cars I drive on occasion.
