Break-in advice

Since the archive search will be down until my car will be broken in, I thought I would ask for advice. What I've gleaned:
Keep it below 4K RPMs, but vary the RPMs as much as possible. Row through the gears a lot. I'm doing pretty much all city driving during the break-in, so I don't think I'll have any problems. Any other tips or advice?

Don't baby it.
For the first 1,000 miles, don't go above 2/3 throttle, and keep below 4,000 revs. Do accelerate briskly, and do use your gearbox.
After 1,000 miles, up the revs to 5,000 and use all the throttle
Learn to double clutch (I do on all shifts)
Definitely vary the revs. No more than a minute or two at a time at first. I know, its a pain in the *** on the hwy, but trust me, vary the revs.
Don't idle it too much. Shut it down if its going to be over a minute or so, except when cooling the turbo, see below.
Be gentle until the water temp needle twitches, then still be nice until the oil temp moves. This goes for after it is broken in as well.
Always idle it for 1 minute (or more) after running hard. I cruise about 1.5 miles at 30 mph after getting off the hwy, and that's usually enough. If I have run it hard, then I still cool it a minute even after that. Use the time to fix your hair and put in the sunshields.
If you thrash it, it won't help
If you baby it, the piston rings won't seat and it will use oil.
After 2k, drive it how you want.
Get your oil changed at the dealer at 5k. Switch to synthetic (probably at your cost) if you like then. Change at 5k (oil AND filter) until the warranty is up. Then... change at your hearts content (I will be going Mobil 1 at possibly 10k intervals, based on oil analysis at this point)
Good luck, and enjoy!
99.5 1.8Tqms Laser Red
