Default Well that is really going to depend on the software.

I would imagine the 3076R making +40 more WHP than the 2871R. Im not saying it will only make that much more WHP though.

What kind of numbers are you looking for? that might be a better question to ask....

Default usable power or max power? again track driving requires a fairly wide power band to be fast

or a close ratio gearbox to take advantage of a narrow band.

probably a 50whp peak difference

Default IMO - to go w/a 30 or bigger series, you need custom from DB/MTM/GIAC or hooever or a standalone.

I got to 430whp with a DB chip, but it was never perfect and never really what I wanted as far as powerband.

I personally would want to see a car (up close behind thew wheel)that someone had done in my desired power level if you are not breaking new ground. I had DB's full attention and it is still 2-3 weeks each time I had something to adjust to get changes made, and sometimes they have to be redone to get intended outcome (this was very unusual and special treatment dont expect this!). Also you have to make sure the mechanicals are perfect and not the cause of any problems or limits as they dont repair cars.

I guess what I am saying is you have to be fairly thick skinned to do a powerful BT car, you need connections, or money, or the patience of Jobe and the luck of the Irish. There are only a handful of 400+whp Audis and anyone who has made it there and can drive it without significant problems is even rarer. It also costs a double ****load of cash to do it in a way that will last anytime at all. Good luck, the advice I wish I had recd many moons ago is to go standalone and learn what you have to to make it successful. There is no such thing as hands off with cars like you want to build. There is however my old kit out there for sale which will get you over 400whp (all issues w/my ca were later addressed and solved) and all components are still avail. It includes exh mani/intakemani/turbo/injectors/reg./big MAF/etc.. You will need to get cams (altho not necessary for 400whp and a big front IC (16x24x2") and do some custom fab for the piping, etc. Send me an e-mail if you are interested.

If you think it can be done easier or cheaper good luck, but my experience says you cannot. If you want more than 430whp on pump gas you will need Motec/Autronics/or 034efi. IMO Autronics is easiest, Motec is most powerful, and 034 is what I am tuning right now, which isnt extremely user friendly or step by step, but quite powerful (maybe moreso than Autronic). My friend Tim at Northern European has done 490whp on C16 on Autronic (on the 1st dyno run) , and says it is very easy to tune and get good results. But dont forget he is a master Audi/Porsche mechanic, the sensors and wirings can be a bitch.

Default This is what I refer to as the triangle of death (or poverty, lol)---->

FAST
CHEAP
RELIABLE

Fast+cheap=not reliable
Fast+reliable=not cheap
Cheap+reliable=not fast

Like I said, good track turbo, 2.0l engine-->gt3071r or gt3076r using a .63 (or .64) a/r. You could also use a gt2871r and get some damned good power out of that also!!

Default FWIW my GT30r has power from 3200 thru wherever.

But engine seems to be built for this turbo. Results will probably vary greatly. Also I road race so ultimate 440 speed isnt my purpose.
