Default Bugbq and any others with aftermarket head units...

Can you please tell me where you got the adapter for the dash to fit in a normal DIN chassis? I am thinking of a sound system, and my original trepidation revolved around the fact that the Audi unit is odd sized.

Any advice/links most appreciated. I don't want some ugly dash adapter, and Bugbq, your pic of the turbo timer made the head unit install look most sharp.

Default Sameer, nobody really makes a good one... you have to have it custom fabricated (m)...

a couple companies made adaptors for the older single din (like mine) but they looked like crapola anyway. For the newer models like yours with the double din head unit, nobody has bothered to make an off the shelf face plate. However a good stereo shop adept at doing custom installs can make one that will look good... but it'll cost ya! Check out ABT in Morton Grove... those guys do REALLY REALLY GOOD custom work... like show quality stuff.

PS- Nice Miata!

Default Damn so i did see you?

My head unit is single DIN, but the long one, not double din like the 00+ cars. I guess ill check out that nice sound shop in Westmont first, then ABT.

I saw a lovely lowered Sanitorim on 83 headed south. I tried to catch up, even passed my exit, but you were to far ahead of me. Meant to shoot you an email. Car is looking good bro..too good (evil laughter ensues)

Cheers

Default yea... that was me...

I saw you turning on 83.. I bolted to the next side street and pulled over hoping you would see me and follow... but evidently you didn't see me pull over. Oh well.

Tell ya what, if you have the single din like mine, then take a look at my trim plate that I made. I'm re-doing mine in aluminum, but at least you can get an idea of how it would look in your car.

Any time you wanna hook up. Maybe this weekend? Lemme know... shoot me an email.
