Default Building a pinch weld floor jack/jackstands adapter...

Planning on using 2 2x2 pieces and attaching to a 1x3, all oak. the 2x2s will be separated by about 1/2" so that the weld will sit between. Has anyone done something similar? What other hardwoods would be strong enough? I'll make it long enough so that both a jack and a jackstand will fit under at once. TIA.

Default sorta. used a dremel to cut out a section in a 2"x4" to fit snuggly. it broke, then I just used

another 2x4 without the section cut and the car's weight sorta made the groove for me.

i think maple, birch or just pine would be better. oak is so hard it has a tendency to split.
