Default Burnt rubber smell

Today, I have noticed for a second time a burnt rubber smell when I got out of the car does anybody have any idea what it could be ?

Thanks,

I have the same problem. I took it to the dealership and rhey told me that it was a piece of plastic bag on my muffler. They told me that it would burn away in a few days. That was 3 weeks ago and it still smell.

I've noticed it particularly after I've been out playing around in the snow. I guess I'm wondering if the EDL is locking up and causing the tire with the most traction to slip against the pavement

Were you slipping your clutch a lot? It'll smell terrible when it's overheated, but should go away in two or three days.

No, I was not and the smell seems to come from the rear on the driver's side (close to where the muffler is located...)
