But anyways.. could this still be my ignition switch? everything else in the car powers up as normal when I turn the key on. Also.. does the starter in my car have a fusible link? I have a 30v AHA just to clear things up.
I give up.

I came here for help. Not to be made to look like a fool. The reason why I shy away from my ignition switch is because everything else in the car powers up as normal. On the other hand.. Thanks Turbo for all your help.

You should read what's posted. You came here for help and were given such. You keep wanting to do everything but the ignition switch, and keep asking for more help. At this point it's quite obvious - try the ignition switch.

Guys, he says that he did try my (debatable) suggestion and buffed the switch contacts (post #10). So I can't blame him for thinking the Ignsw was ruled out. Now's the time to put in a new one- $13 at autohausaz.com and call it a day.

May as well have buffed the hood.

I tried Turbo's suggestion of running 12 current do the starter terminal on the ignition switch connector and the starter turns over. I ordered a new ignition switch on Sunday.. which it obviously didn't process till yesterday.. but it's in the mail. I wasn't trying to be stubborn, but I didn't want to spend unnecessary money on parts I didn't need. Being a single father kinda straps you for cash. Especially when you do everything on your own. Sorry guys

Don't be sorry- I've been there too. I do lots of things on the cheap out of habit and because I like to glue and solder things. It's how I kept a car going while having negative income more than ten years ago (starting a manufacturing business with a couple other guys). Sometimes that shows in my suggestions for repairing, instead of replacing, a relatively inexpensive part. So keep the questions coming.
