Buzzing noise from right rear of car

Buzzing noise from right rear of car
After driving my car around for a bit (all warmed up etc.) I get home and open my drivers door (Aus model so RHD) I can hear a hum/buzz noise. I haven't been able to find out what it is, but it sounds like its coming from under the car, in front of the right rear wheel.
Anyone know what this might be? I thought it might be the fuel pump. If it is, should it be making this noise? - I haven't really noticed this noise before.
