Default No, but every caop I asked said they'd let it slide if it had my CA# on it.

Default I should point out that I'm in the bay area too.

Traffic is enforced pretty liberally up here. about 2 in 5 cars have no front plate at all. At least we are doing the honest thing by getting our state numbers on it so the cameras can identify us.<p>Bobby Kinstle

Default I've had my german plates for about a month (So Cal) and no trouble from the PD yet ... more

the first day I had it on, Torrance PD drove in front me - slowed down and looked at it for a couple of seconds - looked up at me and nodded - then drove off. Whewww!!

Default IMHO, stick with one plate in the front (i.e. German w/ CA #s)...

Default A little OT, but where did you get yours?

I've got a friend who is a LA Sherrif and he wouldn't pull anyone over for it (but he is in a crime car and not a traffic officer).

I did want to know where you got your plates though. I haven't figured out how to cover up the holes in the bumper ( I know there is a FAQ on it but it's kind of cheesy - no offense to the writer)

Do you have any pics? Thanks!

Default Re: In California is it legal to have a german front plate with your state numbers/letters on it???

I had mine for a year and a half, with no problems. Cops look right at it and don't do anything. I think it makes them less likely to pull me over. If it really was a German car they would have to do all kinds of paperwork.

BTW its my CA numbers proceeded with IN
