Anybody have a cam sprocket tool (T40001)for a 2.8 for sale or rent.

Default ^---- what he said. My jaw almost hit the floor when I bought mine.

I think I paid nearly $300 through MAC tools for that exact tool. I'm positive they're found cheaper online.

Default You can use a regular 2 arm puller for that, which is what I do...

wouldnt it be cheaper to buy a new sprocket and break the old one off???

take the car apart the way it was built...with a hammer.

Default You aren't breaking it off, you are popping it off of a press mount..

this is to install the timing belt properly.

Default im saying if faced with buying a puller and possibly a new spocket if the tab breaks...

its cheaper to hammer off the old one :P and jsut replace it...that metals brittle enough for an air hammer.
