Default Cam tensioner is loose on start-up

Will this cause my engine timing to bend my valves?

Should I get it replaced right away?

Do you hear a rattling when you start up?

Default seems to be an '01 issue. I'm going to try a different dealer

to see if they'll replace under warranty. My current dealer says they won't replace it because the noise just comes back again. nice dealer, eh?

Did you get the TB and accessory belts changed also?

"We won't fix it because it's just going to break again." ROFL! I love it!

yup. they claim the noise (rattle) is not abnormal at start up.

I'm sure they'll be more than happy to fix it for you when you hit 50,001 miles.

Everything is on the front side of the engine behind the radiator
