Default cams...pretty cheap...anyone have them?

<center><img src="http://www.aptuning.com/images/APTPHOTOS/EngineInternals/esscams.jpg"></center><p>I saw some guy on AZ who had them, but with a K04 setup. So I don't think he's getting the most out of them. I guess it's asking a lot if people have before and after dynos or anything statistical.<ul><li><a href="http://www.aptuning.com/products.php?productid=490">http://www.aptuning.com/products.php?productid=490</a</li></ul>

I thought you could only take a advantage of an upgrade cam (you need software)

Default the way I understand it is that you would make some gains without software

but not nearly as much as with. I could be way off tho. I assume the ECU would compensate as much as it could.

Default The ECU will compensate for the cams... teh important thing is to be sure that the cams are designed

for a big turbo... If not, they might cause a drop in overall boost pressure..

Default Small gains w/out software, also..

The cams are of course for a turbochaged application as they are for a 1.8T. You won't run into any issues with any cams as far as your turbo size/boost is concerned as in the rest of the turbo world, any T2 framed turbo is not considered "big"
