can anyone help me please? Audi A4 xenon headlights
Hi i was wondering if anyone could please help me. I have a 96 Audi A4, and i want to get the new audi xenon lights, does anyone know where i can find them at a good price? thanks so much!
OK these lights are actually for my boyfriends car for xmas and I don't know ****. All i know is that he wants the xenon headlights that the new audis have, the reall bright blueish ones. I went to those sites you guys recommended me too but don't know what the name of the lights are. Are they the real audi lights? thanks!

No difference other than the fact that the factory xenons has the bottom
of the light assembly cut out so that the factory ballast will fit perfectly in there. BTW b4 you get any ideas...the phillips ballast doesn't fit in that location...I'm sure if you're willing to mess around with it and risk destroying them to get them to fit you can go for it. Also the factory xenons use the D2? style bulbs not compatible w/ the H7 xenon bulbs which the factory halogens have as their light bulb.

ok another answer......
Projectors send out a focused beam of light, which provides better lighting. The xenon lights are projectors that use xenon instead of halogen. Light from xenon bulbs is whiter and brighter than the yellow light given off by halogen bulbs. The best setup for the money to upgrade to the Euro projectors (better beam pattern than US spec projectors and clear corners) and then add the Philips HID conversion kit. Another option is the Serious Vision kit from LLTek, which consists of Euros with pre-installed HID, but it is more expensive.

Since she's a newbie, we should also tell her...
... that if the car is a '96, and you get the 1-piece projectors, than the fenders will have to be trimmed slightly. Once the headlights are in place you won't see the spot where the fenders are cut.
But if you or your boyfriend has an aversion to cutting into the sheetmetal, then I would advise against it.
LLTek does sell two-piece xenon projector headlights for the older A4s. They are considerably more expensive. But if you don't want to cut the sheetmetal, then they are you only option.
Incidentally, my car is a 1998, and I trimmed the sheetmetal and bought my 1-piece projectors from AWE. (Todd installed them and also did the fender trimming. I couldn't watch.)
Then I bought the Philips xenon upgrade from SPP.
Good luck,
