The V1 comes with a remote power jack that has two outlets on it. (V1 uses standard phone jack conenctors.) One outlet is for the main unit and the other is for accessories. The thing is really easy to install into your fuse box (proof being that I did it myself and I'm pretty ignorant of electrical matters). The remote display can be easily plugged in to the remote power jack, and if you also add the remote volume control then you would wire those two accessories in series.
