Default can i put S4 shocks and H&R springs on a 1.8t A4?

wanted to put both S4 shocks and springs in the 1.8 but was told that the springs will actually raise the front so the gap will be larger than the my stock springs (because the S4 weighs so much more). . .and so instead was thinking that I can get the sturdy dampness from the S4 shocks and put in Intrax or H&R springs. . .anybody know if this will work?

Default bullsh*t.....it'll drop your car...but ur ride is gonna be stiff as fu*k.......i think the general

opinion is go for at least A4 sport shocks if not aftermarket bils, or konis, kyg, tokico, etc.

quattro_sychro has the S4/h&r setup

Default The unmatched dampening of the S4 springs will make your car feel bouncy.

stock S4 shocks and springs will sit higher then A4 sport but lower then A4 non-sport.

Default this makes more sense.....

i dunno about shock/spring combo...but my mechanic actually recommends that we go with the S4 coilovers instead of the A4 ones because the dampening and the spring rates on the A4 ones are too soft in the front and performance is actually better with the S4 ones. (he was talking about H&R...dunno about others)

Default For a track, I would agree with that, for the street, I think the A4 coilovers are a perfect balance

between comfort and handling (with a nod towards handling).
