Can I take a sport steering wheel and airbag from a '99.5 and fit it into my '97?

Stripped out an airbag bolt awhile ago and this is a good excuse to upgrade to the sport steering wheel.

no the splines on the steering wheel and column are different. break is in 98 iirc.

if you can get the column from the 99 too you can switch them both

Sport steering wheels are available from the 90's and Cabriolets that have the same splines.

I know I ran into this issue when I had my 90q 20v and wanted to upgrade its nasty steering wheel. Almost anything upto '97 would work but not after '97<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/377291.phtml">A little more help</a></li></ul>
