Has anyone successfully re-coded one?

i doubt the 96 has receiver modules for those transmitters

Default For the alarm, no. For the key, you have two options...
You can...

1. Have your key mounted to a swtichblade key

2. Change your ignition switch to a newer one and get a key for it?

Default So you know for a fact that it's a different receiver?
so I guess my idea of re-coding a switch blade is outta the question. *sigh*

Default don't know for a fact but why would the car have the receiver for keyless entry if it didn't have a
transmitter.

Default huh? it does have a transmitter, I was just wondering if the later switch blade remotes..
can be made to work.
