can you gain anything by just adding an amp to the factory HU & speakers and is this a simple instal

I did that...there is a bit less distortion when you crank it
As for SQ during normal volume..improvement was minimal..might have been more but i added a fe sub at the same time so i didnt hear the diff between with and without an amp. But I heard a diff when i cranked it, there was less distortion.

Did you get noise from the engine or accessories or pops turning on/off the HU ?
Stereo place said that you cannot avoid that with the factory HU. Blau adapter or not.
He also claimd that the factory HU is too noisy - you will never have a great sounding system. Now matter what amps or speakers. I thought that by using the adapter - which is line out - it should sound good. No?
