Re: can you give me more details about this?
Well I live in NC so I dont know if it is the same where you are but I have had 3 speeding tickets in the last 2 years and I just go to the court date and ask if I can take defensive driving school so the ticket will be dropped and I have been able to everytime. You can call the District Attorney's office to find out if this applies where you live and if it does you can sign up and take it before your court date and just bring your certificate that you get after completing the class to court and they will drop it. The class here is $100 dollars but then you only have to pay the fine on your ticket in my case then fine was 45 so it actually came out to be cheaper than if I had paid the ticket. Good Luck.

cop spelled Acura wrong, who knows if he was in the right mind to write the proper speed
Also did not specify what was used to calculate your speed such as radar so for all you know he pulled the number out his a$$.
take it to court, try and get it reduced to a donation and no points. I'd rather donate a couple hundred bucks to the american cancer society than to the state any day.

no driving school/class in PA.
1 year with clean record = -3 points
1 year with more tickets = -1 points
Go over 6 points, you re-take your 20 question written test and need to pass at 70%. They drop you to 5 points total for passing, which is like putting you on probation because if you do anything wrong, you're 6+ again.
Go over 6 points again, I think they suspend your license for 30 days.
I'm not sure what happens after that - probably more suspensions and/or fines. I'm sure PennDOT can give you more info.
