Default I'd go for a lupo or polo with a VR6

mounted mid ship with rear wheel drive... or would that be a lot like a Renault.

Default I imagine that'd be just like the W12 gti or the 240hp Vauxhall Astra

or Opel.

Default I used to drive my broder's polo sedan it was called the classic I think. It was a fun car to drive.

The rear end was a little too high for my taste though.

Default No...

I'd be certain to not lose sight of what matters, dynamics. I would build it to drive properly not like an overweight overpowered imbalanced heap of ****.

Default I never met an unhappy owner, while I was back at home. They're quite affordable too.

Didn't hear good things about the 240hp Astra though. Torque steer being #1.

Default True. The 1.4 SC'd Turbo engine would be a lot of fun too. It would keep the car very light...

I imagine that it could be tuned for more power than 170HP.
