Default Cannot retract rear caliper...

After at least 3 hours of turning and pushing, I still cannont get one of the rear calipers to depress. I'm using the cube tool and a clamp, but I can only get it back about 2 1/2 inches, leaving ~2 inches left to retract. Am I doing something wrong? I know there's a different, more expensive tool than the cube tool, but I really don't want to spend > $60 for 2 inches. Can anyone offer some advice or pointers? I'm really stuck here.

Thanks,
Phil

Default that little cube thing doesn't do ****...

neither does c-clamps and etc...well for me anyways...

i assume you already know about this tool <img src="http://store3.yimg.com/I/autotoolexpress_1688_5584304">

the rear disc caliper tool. however you don't need to spend $60+ to obtain one, many places rent them out such as pep boys and kragen/checkers. pepboys lends them out for free, kragen/checkers charges $7.

i wouldn't touch the rear brakes w/o this tool, much better investment then that cube thing imo.

Default With the cube tool you get at autozone. You have to modify it with a dremel.

Choose the one that looks that will fit the best. Then you dremel out some of the metal, so it will slide in your caliper. Then attach a 8 inch 3/8 extension, grab the caliper in one hand and with the other push down while racheting the cube. Take 1 min to retract.
