Default Can't believe a CLK 320 raced with me yesterday. What was he thinking :) ...

Stop light to stop light race. 1st gear, I did a hard launch, we were both even. I shift to second as fast as I can but the long throw nature of my shifter allowed him to gain a half a car lenght. Amazingly, he kept pulling strong upto about 50mph, wherein he was about 2 cars ahead of me, so he won that one.

I just wished that I was in my A4 yesterday. No point in dragging my 150hp Mitusbishi SUV around :O At least my SUV has Quattro..err I mean AWD he he

Actually, from the looks of it, we would have been even with the A4. Quick car, but not quick enough specially for you chipped 1.8T'ers

Default This had to be in Fremont or Union City....

I once did this against an F355 on Mowry with my Oettinger. I stayed ahead of him nearly one car length. He couldn't believe it.

That CLK would blow your doors off on the highway. i have an E320 and it is real quick on the highway. 0-40 or so it aint much, but after that it moves.

Default CLK gearing is very good! CLK's are impressive for their size & weight.
