Cant decide...
V1 or Escort 8500 or Bel 980...im sure this has been talked about to death & V1 seems to be the favorite here @ audiworld...but any recent updates/experiences with these? thanks all.

V1.. period
I got the SR-1 ... it was a pita to mount.. and
it's only as good as the V1, no better.. and
I wish I had the directional stuff. To top it
off, I paid $200 more for the SR-1. Unless you
really want/need a remote detector; go with the
V1.

Be different!
Go with something other than the V1. Come up with a cool install for something other that the V1. I won't put a V1 in my car because it's ***-ugly. I'm still waiting for someone to post a killer install of one of the other top radar detectors.

here's my sorta nifty install
I have it mounted *just* under the rear view, so i can still see it, and I have the remote display mounted up by the base of A Pillar - its prefect, just in my vision enough so i can see it, but not distracting<ul><li><a href="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/17150/dscn0035.jpg">http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/17150/dscn0035.jpg</a</li></ul>
