Think it is b/c i am running stock exhaust? My new 2.5in is comming in monday...
Also does anyone know the blinker bulb # (looking to get white instead of orange)
Is it normal for oil to get to 215 degrees under normal driving conditions for 20 minutes or more?

Chances are the backfires could be attributed to lost air and screwing with the MAF which in turn will screw with AF which leads to timing changes (I know it's a run on but bare with it!).
Run it as a full DV and see if it helps. You're k04 doesn't need a BOV. I ran the k04 with a GFB Hybrid but I had mine tuned to be 80/20. I also had more agressive programming. Give it a shot an let us know.
