Default If it happens when the turbo hits hard it is probably gas

What does your A/F meter say?

Default New info... Compression test says near 180 on all cylinders... hot side of the turbo is leaking

it is leaking either oil or coolant. Can't touch it since the engine is warm. When I removed spark plug for cylinder 4 smoke came pouring out.

Right now my guesses are something is somehow wrong with my catch can or the turbo went caput.

it's not the turbo, if you're building and holding boost like you said you were.

Default turbo was still boosting even today....

think i may have to put in the stock pvc system back in to rule out the catch can but as it stands right now there is no way the catch can is getting oil into the intake.

Default it could be

my k04 was leaking oil and boosted perfectly (i never did figure out what went wrong with that turbo, the bearings were fine..)

my last holset boosted fine too when the bearings were shot and leaking tons of oil.

so it could be the turbo

Default in my head i just don't see how it isn't the turbo unless the intake manifold line

was pulling vaccum I needed and now the i am getting a ton of blowby.
