Default Car died today. Think it's the ECU but don't know for sure.

Started the car this morning without a problem. Ran for about 1 minute and pulled it out of the garage. As soon as I get out of the car to close the garage, it just dies. I try to restart it and it just turns but nothing. Noticed that when I turned the key, the engine light and the epc light did not come on. Wierd because after unplugging the battery for a few hours when I turn the key, the engine lights now comes on but still will not start. Also this morning when my father tried scanning it for codes, it read "error". But now it reads no codes like there's nothing wrong. Any opinions? Thanks
