Car is dirty...I hate winters...East Coast sucks...My lucky day...SoCali, here I come...(LONG)
My car is very dirty.
It's frickin' freezing in here. <--(movie reference)
Finals aren't over yet.
Leaving for LA in a week, finally.

Went on our usual MickeyD's food run in roommate's M3. Forgot to put on my seatbelt after leaving McD's. Roommate makes crazy sliding left turn onto major street to demonstrate what happens with the ASC turned off. Accelerates up to 60MPH on the 40MPH road. Slows down to 45MPH. Lights go on behind us. We get pulled over by cop. I panic. Reach for seatbelt. Miss seatbelt because in a coupe, it's located totally behind the seat. Too late, the cop walks up. I'm sweating. Cop asks roomie if he knows speed limit. He luckily guesses 40MPH. Cop says we were going 47MPH. Roomie apologizes profusely for speeding. Says he'll never do it again. Cop looks satisfied. I'm still sweating. Light shines on me, sitting unbuckled. Cop asks if I'm wearing my seatbelt. The stupid Jeff takes over and says, "Um, yea I was. I just took it off when we got pulled over."
"Why did you take it off?"
"Um, I just have all this stuff with me. The food, the videotape. It was stuffy, so I took my seatbelt off when we stopped." I'm kicking and slapping the crap outta myself in my mind. It was stuffy?!?
"Are you sure you were wearing your seatbelt?"
"Um, yea. I just had all this stuff, and I took it off when we pulled over." Great. Repeat the lie and stupid excuse.
"See, I don't think you were wearing it. Are you lying?"
"Um, no." And for some unknown reason, I make a smirk with my face. Oh boy, my idiot lying face is showing.
"Sir, do you think this is funny? Is this funny to you for some reason? Are you laughing?"
"No, no. It's not funny."
"Can I see your ID? See, again, I don't believe you were wearing your seatbelt. I think you're lying to me. Do you agree with me?"
"Um...yea." WTF did I just say?!?
"Yes?!? You agree with me that you're lying??"
"Um, I mean." Turn on I-feel-like-an-idiot-mode. "I'm really sorry officer. I'm really really sorry. Sorry."
"Let's see, Daryl? This is a highly visible car. I'm always on this street. Don't speed again...... And let's see, Jeffrey? I could arrest you and charge you with a misdemeanor. You could go to jail for lying."
"We're really sorry. Sorry. Thank you."
And we all laughed at my stupidity as we drove away without receiving any warnings or tickets. It could have been bad, really bad. I'm totally thanking my lucky stars right now, and feeling like a total ***. I had to write this LONG story to make myself feel better. The stupid crap that came outta my mouth to the officer keeps replaying in my mind.
I need a vacation.

Haha, something similar happened to my friend(long)..
In a car I used to have, a seatbelt in the back had been stuck for a while. I like to have all my passengers have there seatbelts on, but it just didn't come loose. Anywho, I get pulled over one day, and the officer asks if everyone has there seatbelt on. Me knowing this one guy in the backseat doesn't, I look behind me and say that they all did(I think it was convincing). So the officer says "When I come back I want everyone to have there seatbelts on okay?" So I say Okay. We're all extremely nervous, and we're trying to figure out what to do. As the officer is like 5 feet away, approaching the car, the belt comes loose. I don't know how, he must've pulled it at the right angle, or maybe it was a miracle. In the end I was lucky enough to get away with a ticket for 60 in a 40, but for the amount of 50 in a 40. Thank god it didn't affect my insurance. Oh yeah, do you go to Ithaca, or Cornell?
