My car doesn't want to start after I get gas. This has happened the last 4 or 5 times that I filled up. At first I thought it had something to do with the vacuum leak but I fixed that today and it still does it. Could the fuel pump be going bad?
EDIT: 98.5 1.8tq
I also just replaced the ignition control module for a misfire.

Did you have to replace the pump? Would a fuel system cleaner help that or do I need to remove the tank and clean it? I do have a habit of letting it run down to low.

It was called the purge valve. The car wouldn't start after fillup. Started normally any other time. I had the dealer fix it, it was I think between $100-200 for replacement and labor.

In January my car was starting fine cold. But if driving it for a while, turning it off, and starting it again, no go (had to crank a long time with my foot on the gas). The CEL went off and VAG'ing it gave an error code that pretty much said the coolant sensor was kicking the bucket.
Could be that also.... When I changed my sensor (1999.5 A4 1.8t - blue sensor, 4 pin from ECS Tuning) my car was at 72k. Worked like a charm. This was after the car doing this a couple times before I finally bought the sensor, so I am absolutely sure it was the problem.
