Check the Audio forum...
Look for Denver J's post on his A4 install of the Phatbox... I was skeptical about it not having a display funtion until I read up on how SSA works... now I'm a convert. I think SSA is actually better than a display... certainly safer. Also from talking to the Phatnoise guys it seems that the RDS display on the radio cannot be accessed through the CD-Changer interface that the Phatbox uses.
I've been trying to put together a homebrew MP3 player for a while... and hardware alone would run me near into $600 to do it right... the extra 200 for the phatbox is worth it considering all the software development that they've already done.
