Default Car Phone Installation/Pre-wiring

Does anybody know whether the plug in the armrest of a 99 A4 is already wired to the Concert stereo system? If I have a Motorola cell phone, is there simply a standard adapter available that plugs into the phone on one side and the armest plug on the other, fully integrating the phone with the car? (By full integration I mean supplying power, connecting to the "hands-free" unit, and muting the stereo as appropriate.)
Is an external antenna essential?

Default The plug in the armrest terminates at the DB-25 in the trunk. Look at the FAQ I wrote......

The car is prewired for a series II motorola phone. The headset plugs in at your armrest and a transceiver plugs in to the DB-25 in the trunk. The transceiver controls everything.
No you cannot just buy an adapter and plug your flip into the plug in the armrest.
Thanks!
Brad Bilut 98.5 A4 2.8 Qtip
