Car in for service, need some quick advice on brakes

Default They do not. The fronts do the largest share of the braking. Why do you think the are so much

larger 'n the rears?
If you are refering to why some A4s wear out the rears first,it is because of the EDL system used on the open rear diff. If you get one wheel spinning at a faster rate 'n the other, EDL will use the ABS system to pulse the brakes on that side to send torque through the rear diff to the side that has traction(is not spinning.)This will accelerate rear wear,esp if you corner aggressivly or spend a lot of time in rain,snow,or ice.
