How much money do you think I could get for my 2000 Audi A4 1.8T? The car has a PA reconstructed title. The engine was replaced and currently has 70,000 miles and the body has about 100,000 miles. Completely stock and no real major options. KBB for Excellent says $9,900 and $9,400 for Good. I would classify the car in Good condition. People have been offering me $4,000, which I think is awful. I would like $6,000. Is that too high?? Thanks.

why is it a rebuilt title (extent of damage)?
who replaced the motor? (dealer under warranty..?)
a car with a swapped motor is worth less than a stock one IMO, and with a rebuilt title..even less.

I'm not trying to insult your car but considering what the market has to offer you can find your car without a salvage title for cheaper.

I was told that the car was in a minor fender bender, but one of the pulleys grenaded on impact. So, the car was totalled and sold at an insurance auction. The guy I bought it from fixed it and gave me all the receipts. Runs fine. I know that it's not worth the full KBB value, but $4,000 is a bit low or am I way off?

I picked up my '98 1.8 4 years ago with 97k on it for 5200... and that is with a clean title but dirty ohio driving. 5 grand is still a fair price for your car, but you'll have to show the buyer some documentation on what exactly has been done to it (including maintenance since the wreck). 4000-4500 is about right when considering the title issue, but if it were me I'd probably keep it. What are you driving instead?

Well, I'm moving to Germany, so I don't need it anymore. I paid $4800 for it when I bought it a year ago, but I put $2,000 into it. Crank pulley and tensioner ($800) and TB ($800) and it cost me another $400 for PA to approve the car for transformation from salvage to reconstructed title.
