Default car vandalism... how to protect yourself?

my neighbor across the street got her '99 Honda Civic vandalized last night... front bumper, fender and some engine parts removed. Now I am afraid the a$$holes will target my A4... I know my HD xenons are prime targets, actually had them ripped out of the car two yrs ago... different town.

Will the alarm be set off by someone removing parts on the car? Apart from sleeping very lightly with my hockey stick in hand... or moving to a ritzier neighborhood, are there clever things I can do to deter vandalism like change the sensitivity of the alarm, certain stickers, anything else?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Default good insurance, and carry a gun, not a hockey stick.

just dont use it unless you kill them, because they are prolly not the kind of people you want to miss.
thieves should all be shot anyways, you would be doing the world a favor.
