Car won't start.

In other words, you're getting a healthy crank, it turns over fine, but it won't catch and run?
The fuel line is pressurized, and should contain fuel at all times. So when you start the car, you don't have to wait for the fuel pump to prime the fuel line from the tank to the engine, each time you start the car. There is a valve integrated into the fuel pump (at least that's what some have said) that prevents fuel from draining back from the engine into the fuel tank...so that fuel is available each time you start the car. If that valve becomes faulty, you'll notice that the car will take longer to start (while the fuel pump is priming the line with fuel). The length of time is takes to start the car is usually related to how long the car has been left with the engine off. If left overnight, it may take 10-15 cranks to get it to start. If only left for an hour, it may start right away, and if left for 4 hours, it may take 5-6 cranks.
IF that valve is integrated into the fuel pump, and IF this is the problem, replacing the fuel pump might be your only choice.
