Default Car won't start after overheating

I was driving down the road when my 96 A4's engine temp light came on. I immediately shifted to neutral & turned her off & then coasted into a nearby gas station. Now she won't start. My starter is kicking over just fine, & the engine tries to start but--nothing! My antifreeze level is fine & I have brand new fluid. Anyone know if there's any sensors or ECM commands that would prevent the engine from starting? Any suggestions?
