Car won't start... starter?

Car won't start... starter?
turn the key and nothing... just makes that clicking sound, so i'm guessing it's the starter. Weird thing is that I can turn the key all the way to the start position the first time i put it in, then when i turn it back to off and try to start it again the key won't go past the on position, i have to take it all the way out then put it back in for it to try again. Is that normal?

Yes, that is normal.
As long as your battery voltage is good and you have good connections to the starter and battery, if its just clicking then it is most likely the starter.

If you still have your manual, I suggest you read it.
Next steps:
1. Add water
2. Jump start car
3. Drive car out on highway for 20-30 minutes to recharge battery
Retest starting issue next morning on a cold engine/battery.
Use distilled water (pharmacy) and do NOT overfill the cells.

I did this and i just replaced my OEM battery that lasted 6 1/2 years last week. I'm keeping the old battery for its juice.
