Carbon fiber hood?
Are they worth it really? Anyone know how much the stock hood on a 2001 A4 weighs? Are they paintable because I see people leaving them unpainted all the time? Any cons to having them?

depends, if you're concerned about weight, invest in one...
they are paintable, it's just a matter of preference, i haven't painted mine.. i like how the cf contrasts with the silver of my car, plus, i want people to see it 
cons.. hm... when you get a cf hood, make sure that the cf wraps around the skeleton instead being laid over it, in the long run it will peel...
