I'm not sure what your question is beyond the sharkfin? To remove your existing broken antenna, unscrew the nut and the antenna passes through the roof. Install replacement.

Yes you can change it, i just changed mine yesterday. Inside the car and in the same direction of the antenna you will find a lamp, you need to remove that coverage of the lamp. Then, once the electronic board of the antenna (need help from a friend), you need to grab this electronic plate whit a wrench and another person unscrews the nut on the outside of the car. Then is only to replace the antenna for another, good luck.

I had lots of problem taking mine off because of the oxidation. Two days trying..
Worth it looks great!
I'm now trying to find a plug compatible with both.. nothing so far..
