In case you didn't know, Madico Onyx 35% tint + factory windows = 30%. I know this because, a

Sorry to hear. The tint does not look that dark in the sig? We always disliked driving through PA, the police and troopers are just always hunting for $$$$$. The V1 would go crazy through out the state, no matter which highway. Revenues are probably way down for funding sources for the system.
Maybe they will lay off some, a few less troopers/police on the roads hassling tax payers would not be a bad thing. Possibly they might save enough $$ to not even need "slEaZy pass". Hope this weekend goes better for you.

Why the lip? I'm guessing you knew it was in violation when you installed it
No reason to hassle the cop, it's a pretty standard violation in many states and he's simply doing his job.
If it's a matter that you moved into the state or just bought the car, you can get the ticket waved for 30 days until you can have it removed.
Or you could get a note from your optometrist or your pediatrician (if you weren't lying) and this will allow you to have the front windows tinted.

I was "yes, sir" with him until after he gave me the ticket. and, yes, I understand that the police
are enforcing laws they didn't personally make, but, come on, really? a tint violation on PA Turnpike? dude has nothing better to do with his time but waste his and mine.

That sucks. I got pulled over in NY on a business trip for my tint.....
My car is registered in CT
The Trooper tested my windows and said they were 37% which is Legal in CT (35%) but illegal in NY because NY is 70%. He said I would have to remove the tint.
I was like WTF?! I am only in your state on business and you want me to remove my tint. Uh no way.
He gave me a warning and said if he saw me again he would ticket me for it if it wasn't removed.

because he clearly doesn't have better things to do. just pointing it out for him.
yes, I understood that you can only have 70% on the fronts and anything in the backs in PA, but we're not talking about reckless driving, the dead hooker in the trunk, or the crack in my crack.
Honestly, I wouldn't care if he was adding it to a speeding violation, or use the tint violation in place of speeding, etc., but what a waste of time for both of us. That officer needs to find some real police work to better use our (my, your) taxes, imo.
