Default aaahhh... that's the North East extension of the Turnpike and then the Blue route. no cops there.

There's really not many places for a cop to hide on the NE Extension. I generally don't see cops on it when I go up to Easton.

I'm talking about the main PA Turnpike from Ohio to NJ -- the East-West road (76), not the North-South (476) part of the system.

Default ohh, you're talking teh scukill (sp?) and such?

never thought of that as the turnpike... but yeah, that area is pretty ridiculous. Taken it many a time going into the city, KoP, etc... I try to avoid it where I can as it's a horrid road :-P

I always forget it's refered to as "the NE extension" as I always call it the PA turnpike <shrugs>, but you're right, there are few places to hide there and even if they did, it'd be unsafe to ever pull anyone over as there are few areas where they could safely get you off the road w/o causing a traffic issue.

Default no, THE PA Turnpike. I-76. that runs from East-West to/from the OH Tp and NJ Tp.

But, yes, the SureToKill is a crazy road...took it at least twice a week for classes at St. Joe's.

yes, this is what confuses people. 76 actually runs from the OH Tp to the Valley Forge exit and runs down to Philly on the SureToKill. Then, form the Valley Forge exit to the NJ Tp, it's 276.

The NE Extension (of the PA Tp) is 476, which it's also 476 south of the PA Tp, but not a toll road and called the Blue Route (which it's called that because it's the blue line that was on the plans when deciding which route to design).

trust me, it's confusing. My SIL always gets lost trying to visit us from LongIsland.

Default lol... yeah, that's def confusing!

and I grew up near there too!

I know the blue route all too well. IIRC, my dad used to talk about how it took them an obscene amount of time to get the plans through there... though for some reason I thought it was the blue route because they were almost blue in the face wishing it would go through :-P What you said makes much more sense
